Jad K. Jadallah Tawil - Treasurer
Born in Jerusalem, Jad lived in his hometown of Al-Bireh in the West Bank until 1985, when he immigrated to the United States. There he resided in Michigan for 25 years. Jad received his first degree in Engineering Technology at Wayne County Community College and later studied Communications at Wayne state University.
Jad began his career as a case manager for the State of Michigan, at the Family Independence Agency (FIA) where he helped determine financial and medical eligibility for public assistance programs for the underprivileged. Later, Jad worked with various written, audio and visual media outlets, such as the Arab American Journal, Asalam Radio at WNZK and as a contract producer for Aljazeera Satellite TV.
Volunteering, however, has been a lifelong commitment for Jad. Since his childhood, he was a youth volunteer at his city sports, social and cultural clubs. Later in the USA, he volunteered for Anti-Discrimination, health and social justice causes through local and international Humanitarian agencies either as a volunteer or Board member, such as at the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan.
Since Jad’s return to the West Bank, he continues to be an active volunteer, mainly for health and disability causes. Jad has played various key roles in the International Red Cross/ Red Crescent organization since 1997. Other roles include: Handicap International Country Director, Al-Bireh Municipality Public Relations Coordinator, Palestine Society for Bleeding Disorders Board Member and Founding member. Currently Jad is Director of the Arab American Orthopedics Center and Specialty Clinic, Executive Project Coordinator for the Premier Specialty Hospital in the West Bank.
